I own a bike and ski shop up in interior AK and a customer came in with a, to say the least, GRENADED mavic road freehub. Another local shop that has a long standing reputation told him it was toast ajd the parts were not available to rebuild it. Get a new wheel.
He came in to us, sad, looking to order a wheelset. I looked at the hub and asked him to give me a chance to dig and see if I could find the parts needed to rebuild his freehub. He agreed. I started digging and found Rogue Mechanic. Some troubleshooting later, and a few small parts orders narrowing the issues down. My customer walked out the door with a fresh Axle, Freehub Body, and Pawl and spring kit, assembled together into a good as new mavic road hub ready for use. Rogue Mechanic had the exact parts to bring my customer's Mavic Freehub back to life. 10 stars. As a small business owner, I am ALWAYS thrilled when I get to buy from another business that isn't a huge wholesaler to get a bike back on the road. Third time I’ve used Rogue Mechanic for parts for my Mavic rims. Mostly 12 and 15 mm front axle end caps. Recently updated to a Shimano DI2 XT/GRX - 1X12 and needed a “micro spine free hub” for it. I also needed a different axle end to fit on the free end of the free hub, but they helped me out with both parts one of the few places I’ve found to get knowledge and parts for Mavic wheels & hubs on this side of the pond. John helped out with any and all of my questions and needs with my order to make it work on my now 12 speed rear wheel wit a new HG 10-52T XT cassette.
John was a great help identifying what exact parts to buy, and not to buy to upgrade my 2010 Santa Cruz Tallboy OG. Looking forward to installing parts from Rogue to upgrade to 1x12 Eagle 🤙

Not only did he field 10 emails from me about random 2016 Mavic replacement spokes (sigh...), but he followed through on everything from positively IDing the right part numbers to back discounting me 10% as a new customer.
