Rogue Mechanic Shim Kit for Campagnolo Ultra-Torque Bottom Brackets - Italian

2 items left

This is the RogueMechanic Shim Kit made to solve the problem of axial movement in Campagnolo Ultra-Torque bottom bracket systems.  This movement sometimes manifests into noise in the form of clicking and/or knocking.  This side-to-side movement also accelerates the wear of components.  This shim kit is machined here in the Cleveland area from high-quality, US-made 18-8 stainless steel with the help of my father-in-law.  The shim kit has a total of eight shims (four different thicknesses) so that you can precisely dial in the correct stack height.

This set of shims is specifically made for Italian threaded bottom brackets.

Here's a video explaining the installation process.

Best on the market

I’m thoroughly impressed with the machined shims! Quality number one!! No out-of-spec plastic Chinese rubbish, but the actual REAL thing. They are worth every cent. Fast delivery and amazing customer service locked in a lifetime customer.

An outstanding solution for creaking Ultra-Torque BB's

Just a word of appreciation to John the Rogue Mechanic for being the only guy out there, that I know of, for offering a very precise method of eliminating Campy's wave washer and solving the dreaded UT creak. My shim kit came packaged with the different sized shims labeled and inserted into a slotted card. Obvious care and attention to detail went into producing this kit. As for the installation, I was able to achieve, on my first try, the perfect combination of shims for an exact adjustment of the Italian threaded UT cups on my vintage GIOS. No more creaking! Thank you Rogue Mechanic you are the man!

Campy click

It’s a shame Campagnolo can’t get rid of that annoying ultra torque click. Thank goodness for the rouge mechanic to figure it out. Said goodbye to the wave washer and installed shims on the bottom bracket and no more click.🤗
